Montessori is one of the most recognized names in education, highlighting the pioneer herself,  Maria Montessori, and her method to learning. Unfortunately, not all schools that deem themselves ‘Montessori’ offer an education based on the Montessori philosophy and its’ high  standards of practice.

In Canada, Montessori schools that are accredited by the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators are recognized for the education it provides to be authentic to the Montessori practice. MCS is proud to be recognized as a CCMA member. The standards set to be an accredited Montessori school support parents to recognize where they can receive an enriched education for their child true to the Montessori practice. CCMA accredited schools ensure a safe and child-centred environment which includes opportunities for each child to develop at their own pace, hands on individualized  learning, freedom of movement,  responsibility and collaboration in the classroom.
